Week 31: hoy es el dia!

Como han estado ustedes!?

How is ever one on this fine monday afternoon!? (To begin, I want to give hugs and kisses to everyone for telling me happy birthday! I love each of you and am so grateful for all the support and love you have given me for my birthday this week! indeed all of you are the best, and could not ask for a better family than mine.)

I also know that I turned 20 this week and that I will never again be able to say that I am a teenager, which makes me a little sad, because it makes me feel a little bit old haha. Pres smith told me that everything changes now...but for the better! He also told me that I could go buy a big tank of icec ream for my b-day, so it was a pretty good day haha.

But this week had it ups and downs, definitely more ups, but the one down we had this week was that leo el joven con 19 años told us that he didnt want to continue anymore, which was a bummer because he had fecha for the 1st of febrero. We tried to motivate him to continue but in the end he told us that religion was something really important to him, I still love that kid and we will continue to pray for him.

But now that the down is out of the way, we will start with the ups!! this week we had 3 investigators in the church and a one of the menos activos familias that we did service for like 3 times this week. It was a pretty good sunday and not just because it was my birthday ;) we also found an awesome awesome little family this week, little because they just had there first lil baby, but the dad of the family has read the bible 2 times and told us that we always felt like he needed something more to strengthen his faith, so we had some amazing lessons with them this last week. The dad really is a family man and his is super worried about living with his family after death, so our message was just the thing he was looking for. There should have fecha the next month, because the dad works a week in Montevideo, and is home for the other, which makes is a little complicated, but anything is possible in the work of salvation. This week we are also going all out with the family where the dad is the only one who isn't a member, we teamed up with a bishop from another ward who is a friend of the family so that we can get this man his salvation! if you could also pray for Sebastian and Walter and Clarice, lo agradeceria muchisimo!

Para terminar, I will leave you with some scriptures that I was pondering about this week. Alma 38:12 y alma 34: 31-32 both these scriptures a intertwined with the main focus being ACT. In the mission I have realized that the most important thing to do is act. And not just act when we feel like it but to always feel like doing something, whether it be running around Uruguay or running around in the neighborhood of midway, the best thing we can do is always is to make sure to keep ourselves busy. It is the best way to protect ourselves spiritually. Also our motto for the mission is hoy es el dia! Pres smith has put this is our mindset because if we want something to happen, first we have to believe it can happen and then to actually do it! Because salvation doesn't come to us, we have to come to salvation.

I love you all! thank you for all the birthday wishes!! And I hope you have you been working on your rosetta stone spanish haha.

Also remember to act on every good impression to good! I have been trying it out this past week, i have been seeing some amazing things!
Con Cariño,
Elder Watts
