Week 30: The way we communicate with our father in heaven will never change.

Hola mis queridos amados americanos! I sent a card V and D so be on the look our for los dos!

How has 2014 been treating everyone!? Here in Rivera it is raining perros y gatos! Almost everyday this week it has rained! But I love it because it so make much better than the heat! Because at least when its raining the people can't tell if you are sweating or not haha so it works out. The funny story of the work goes to the the rain haha because this week we did a thing called choque de fuerzas, where all the missionaries of the zone get together for a couple hours to help spark an area. But while we were waiting for the taxi, it honestly did start raining perros y gatos, or better said caballos y vacas! The taxi took forever to come while we waited in the road. Elder Vargas couldn't even hear me when I was yelling 'what should we do!!?' Because the rain was so loud! But the taxi finally arrived, and we havent gotten sick yet.. so its all good.

But the choque de fuerzas that we had was awesome! We all met up at the church in centre all got assigned little areas. We just went and straight up talked with everyone. So when we got to assigned area, we started talking with this family, and we got them to laugh a lil bit, and then we asked we could share a lil message with them, and they said yeah pasen! So we started talking a lil bit and we found out the mom was way evangelica! and she only spoke portugues. But she listened to the whole lesson and agreed with everything we said! It was amazing! We finished the lesson and we asked who would like to offer the prayer? And the mom said she would love to. Like many times before, I had the opportunity to hear a beautiful simple prayer from someone who I just met, but was willing to pray to our Heavenly Father. The mom cried a lil more when we told her
that other missionaries would come in place for us for the next visit, but we reassured her that they teach the same amazing message. I really am sad they dont live in our area but I know that we were suppose to find them in our lil choque de fuerzas.

To finish up I'll leave you guys with a short lil scripture Alma 37:37. Its one of my favorite scrips because there is not one thing that we cant talk about with our father in heaven. We can literally talk with him about everything detail that goes on in our lives--no matter what he will always be there to listen. When we have to make tough decisions we can turn to him, because he can see the person that we have the potential to be, and we will respond because we wants us to be successful. I know that technology is always advancing and that the way  we communicate is always changing, whether it be through cellphones, tvs, or computers, but we know that the way we communicate with our father in heaven will never change. And that it will always be through prayer that we will be able to talk and listen to our father in heaven.

I love you all! saludos a todos!
Elder Watts
