Hey everybody! How's is everyone doing!!? Right now here in Rivera the weather has cooled off a little bit, but it is still hot as hades! How was everyone´s new year's!? Did you kiss the ones you loved!? (mom con dad) (d con mitch) (dave con V) y (G con nadie espero haha) el tiempo llegará (G with no hope haha. It will eventually come.) But here we had a good time, we ate dinner in the house of a member for the second time on my mish. (First time fue la navidad.) But after we watched all the fireworks and played a good ole game of monopoly and I won the first board game of the year! Haha makes me think of all the time the family would always play SETTLERS!!! Haha talk about competitive.
But the 2 short funny stories go to Elder Wakely and another guy that I will tell you about later on. But this morning elder Wakely woke up and told us that he could sleep all night because he told us that he swore he saw that there was a man in our house in the middle of the night, and that he heard someone scream like all get out. He said we was so scared that he didn't sleep or move all night haha so today he is a little dead from no sleep, but what he said could have been possible because our house doesn't close from the inside, so our door is unlocked when we sleep.... (sorry for scarying mom.)
The other little funny story goes to a man that we contacted while we knocked on a couple doors. So we knocked on the door and a man of about 40 years opened the door with nothing but a speedo to cover himself haha. We went on to talk to him without trying to look down of course haha, and we found out he lives with his family and he is super nice, we left him a tarjeta of jesucristo and he said we could come back another time. Hopefully with a little bit more clothes.
My new comp, Elder Vargas, is awesome. He knows a bunch a card tricks that we always do with all the kids, and he is super funny! He is not as serious as Elder G which is good, but him and I teach like capos! This week we contacted a lot and the phrase that I have found out the breaks the ice with new people is Hola! Ha hablado con un misionero tan gringo como yo!? (Have you ever spoken with a missionary gringo like me!?) Haha works every time, it always get them to laugh a little bit and open up to us.
We found an awesome man named Ivan the other week, and we have no idea why he isn't baptized because all is family is baptized and they are active! He goes to church with them! So he knows a ton, but he works in Montevideo for one week and comes back to be with is family for another. But we are going to help him make this step for bautismo when we gets back from Montevideo, so he can be with his family forever! Also if you could remember Walter (husband of menos activo wife) and leo un capo that we found this week.

But to finish I´ll leave you guys with the scripture Jacob 4:11-14. I thought of this scrip, because we had some trouble with a lot of people and trying to help them overcome all there doubts and questions. But I love this scrip because really our main focus should always be the Savior and His atonement. We should never let our doubts take away from the faith we already have. I know that we remember him, we will never miss the mark, and the doubts and questions we have, wont matter, because our view will be focused on the thing that matters most. Him and His divine love. We know that the gospel of Jesus Christ is exactly that.
I love you fam!!
Con cariño y mucho amor,
Elder Watts
