Week 28: I know that it is through the spirit that I can know the the needs of these amazing people and know what I need to say.

Espero que todos tuvieron una feliz navidad y que no puedan esperar hasta el año nuevo!!! I just want to start off the I loved talking with all of you last week!! It was the best time of my life!! I never knew my family could make me so happy!!! Haha you guys really are my energy bunny acá en uruguay!! I loved seeing all your cute little faces and seeing how all of you have changed! Dad with the stach, Dave with the beard, Mom, D, and V are even more bonitas than before! And wowww how about the voice of the g-man! i thought i was talking with Arnold Swhartineger or however you spell It haha but thanks for all you love!!

This last week we had changes!!!!! And E´Gamarra se fue! I'm gonna to miss the little peruano! I learned so much from him! And I hope I get to see him later in the mision! But my new comp is Elder Vargas!!!! De chile!! He got here yesterday and he is hilarious!! He is from the same group as Elder G and he really is quite the joker! I love him already! E clark se fue tambien! I almost cried, I love that kid too! But another gringo came for him E´el´bekri from Utah - I know, weird last name. But he was playing for BYU before coming on the mish! And he knows Zach Wertz! So we have been having a good time chattin!

So the funny story of the week goes to the poor little house, when both the new comps showed up, we decided to change the light bulbs. So I took out the light and put the new one in, flipped the light switch, and ooopps exploded with a little bit of fire, and right when did that the power went out. After about 2 hours trying to fix it and almost dying of heat because there was no electricity for the fans, we finally got the power back on, but we never got the light again in our room of studies, so in the morning we have to open the window for light, and at night we plan with flashlights haha.

But to finish up I just want to reanswer the question that my bro David asked. Because I feel like it could have answered that better, even though it was my first time talking about something spirtual in english for a couple months haha. But I just want to bear my testimony on the importance of the spirit in missionary work. I know that the spirit is real and that it touches and softens peoples hearts, and I know that it is through the spirit and faith that we receive gifts from our Heavenly Father and that it is the feeling of the spirit that the people remember, not the words. I know that I could not do this work without it and that it would be impossible teach if the spirit was not present. And lastly, I know that it is through the spirit that I can know the the needs of these amazing people and know what I need to say. Because I know that our Heavenly Father knows each and every one us, inside and out.

I love you all family! Follow the whisperings of the spirit! Thanks again for all your love and support!!!
Have a great new year and set some goals! And act on all impressions to do good!!

Elder Watts
