Hey how is everyone doing! Just perfectly, sí ya sé!
But just want to thank you for all those little pictures of those little tykes Weston and Avonlea, there are so stinkin cute!
This week in Bella Union it has rained almost everyday! And it is raining right now. But wow, the storms here are crazy! The lighting and thunder could break your hear drums! Haha sometimes it makes it hard to sleep at night! But I love when we leave the house because it is a always an adventure trying to jump around or though all the rivers that are in the streets. But the one thing that was disappointing this week was that the storm hit the hardest this sunday in the moring just when church started. Entonces we didnt see many people in the church this week. It was sad because we worked so hard with so many menos activos this week, teaching about the santa cena, Jesucristo and the reasons why church is so important and we thought for sure there were going to come. But oh well now we have this week to look forward too!
But the spirtual moment of the week happened, while we had divisiones, and I went with Elder Mendoza, from Columbia! And we had a lession with the family Suarez, a family that lives in his area but I consider them one of my investigadors too.. because there are so awesome! But anyway we decided to bring the video como hallar fe en jesucristo. And it was a great idea, because during the video it was so spirtual, and when it finished the room was so quite and the madre was shedding tears. Me and Elder Mendoza didnt want to start speaking because it was so peaceful in there home. But we went on to ask questions and talk about what they thought about the video. When we finished the lesson, we all got down on our knees and we the father of the home offered the prayer. It was one of the best lessons that I have had on my mission, and I know that the Suarez family felt a peace that they have probably never felt before.
Something that I always thought but now I have realized while have been here in Uruguay, is that the spirit really is and will always be the most important thing in missionary work. It is the perfect teacher, it is the thing that testifies to the people that our message is true and it is the thing that causes the people to change. I know that spirit is our constant companion and I can't count how many times I have had thoughts and words come into my mouth just in the moment that I needed them.
I love you all family!
Elder Watts
