How is everyone doing! I hope you all have already bought your costumes for halloween! Especially you mom and dad! Preparense para que puedan recibir muchisimos dulcet!!
This week in the area of Salto we had a capacitacion de zona! It was great to take a two hour bus ride to see all my buddies from the mission. And to learn how we can help our areas grow. But one of the things that we really focused on was how we can learn to study and prepare ourselves better when we begin the day.
One of the analogies that I love is how we should listen and write the things that the spirit tells us when we are studying the gospel. We compared it to a dream and when we wake up we can remember a dream pretty well but as the day goes on we begin to forget. It is the same with the spirit in our studies, when we studying the escrituras the spirit is telling us things that he wants us to know and remember, and one way to help us remember is by writing it down. And also something that president said is this. He said if there is one thing that he could give us.. it would the the desire to learn. I have never desired to learn more than while I have been here in the mission. And thanks to my Heavenly Father, he has always helped me learn so much about the language, the gospel and about myself.
But this week was a little bit of a struggle. The last two weeks we have had a hard time finding news. But someone we did find, was the la novia de cristian, she was in montevideo before (where she was recieving the lessons from other missionaries) but she has such a cute little baby girl who is 2 months old, just like lil weston. But when we were talking with her she told us about how she was really sick when she was pregnant and that she recieved a priesthood blessing and how everything went well. After me and my companion were like wow! And we started teaching about the priesthood! I´ll let you know how it goes with her in the next email.
But I just want to say I am so grateful for the opportunity that I have to represent Jesus Christ, and to teach about his gospel and his atonement. In some point in our lives we have all had to turn to Him and we have all had our own personal experiences that have drawn us closer to him. During all my life I have never felt closer to Jesus Christ and to my Heavenly Father than the way I feel right now...and that is was the mission does. It really is the best thing that any young man or women can do. I know the church is true. And I know my savior lives.
I love you mis queridos amigos!
P.S. We talked to a old man this week for about an 45 minutes in the street because he had like a 100 stories to tell, I thought I was going to die!
Con Amor,
Elder Watts
