Week 14: It feels good to serve.

Hey how is everyone doing!? It made me super sad to hear that BYU lost this week. I really thought that they had it in them this year. But at least there is no one here in Uruguay that will brag about it because hardly anyone here knows what american football is haha.

But this week was full of fun stuff! Earlier in the week we had a big ward service at a place called APJEBU which stands for asociacion de padres jovenes especiales de bella union. Haha which means...you can translate it. Haha I dont know why they picked to have such a big name, but we painted the whole building! Anything thing you can think of we painted it! We painted walls, window frames, door frames, cualquier cosa. Todos pintamos! It was a blast, a lot of people from the ward came and we painted all morning and then after we had a super big lunch and desert! And after, when we were walking back with Kevin and Emmanuel, Emmanuel the little 13 old year old said, Elder Watts, ¿cuando tendremos servicio otra vez? y yo le dije, no sé, por que? y el me dijo, porque me siento bien cuando estoy sirviendo! (When are we serving again? And I said, I don't know - why? And he said, because I feel good when I'm serving!) Haha I love the kid, I will send you a picture of him next week! So you can see how much of a stud he is!

But this week in the capilla (church) was great! And a little scary because an hour before sacrament meeting started the second counselor told me that I had to give a talk! Sabia! (I knew it!) So I prepared a little talk about fe (faith) and used the talk by Elder Holland called creo. I was little nervous at first, but as I kept going I felt better and better, I talked for about 10 minutos. After the meeting the members told me that I gave a good talk and that my spanish is improving, so I felt pretty good :)

So this week with our investigadors and with our menos activos was good! We had a lot of lessons with menos activos about the Book of Mormon and helping them to ponder and apply the things that they read. This week we didn't have the oportunidad of teaching Cristian because he was in Montevideo toda semana, but his is back for this week, so we will teach him!

With Rosa this week, we read the Book of Mormon with her because she has a hard time reading, and the marriage is a little difficult because the father Hugo is not very religious. But we are working on him. But we had a great lessons with the Paola y Charles, they both have such strong testimonios about the gospel especially the father. The first time I met him I thought he was already a member. But they told us this week that they want to feel completely ready before they get married and baptized. So you could say we are kinda of giving them a little push. So we will see how it goes these next couple weeks.

Like my good lil buddy Emmanuel said, it feels good to serve. I love the mission and I love this gospel with all my heart, there is no doubt in my mind that this church is true. I know that our faith will always overcome our doubts, and that faith gives us the power to believe that we can do all things.

I love you all my peeps!
