Week 15: The Lord prepares people in many different ways to hear his message.

Man this week a lot of stuff happened, so I will try to tell you all!! I was not able to write yesterday because we had zone conference!!!! But today I get to write you!!! Estoy animado!! (I am happy!!) 

But yeah like I said we had zone conference yesterday in Salto. And lets just say that I didnt feel so good the night before. I think for some reason my stomach didn't mix well con la comida uruguaya. (Uruguayan food.) But during the night I woke up and felt like I was going to throw-up so I ran to the bathroom! Because I remember the story of g-man when he wasn't able to make it to the bathroom in time, and had a little bit of a mess in his bed haha and I think you guys remember what happened, especially mom, because she always cleans up our messes.. thanks mom :) but anyways. After, I felt better but when I woke up to the alarm I had to go to the bathroom again. Fue horrible!! I looked like a ghost! My face was so white! But after I tried to eat some fruit, and I prayed for strength. And I think we both know which one helped more.

The conference was great! Like always I got to see all my buddies from the CCM! And my dear president. I love my President Smith so much. He is such great leader and when I listen to him speak, I can feel the spirit so strong, and I can feel that he loves each and every one of his misioneros y misioneras. I can feel the love behind his words, and it makes me want to be a better missionary. One thing that has stuck with me, that he taught us during the conference was that,"it was not the nails that kept his Jesus Christ on the cross, it was his love for the Father and for his brothers and sisters." I know that our older brother Jesucristo could have come down if he wanted to, the nails had nothing to do with him staying on the cross. But I know that he stayed because he loved us, and he continues to love us everyday.

So this week was great en la capilla (church)! More and more people are coming to church every week. Maybe they knew that Elder Duke was giving a talk haha but yeah Elder Duke gave another great talk! About weak faith and strong faith! I hope that one day I can speak like him! He is such a stud! 

But before the sacrament meeting started we were in front of the capilla and un MILAGRO pasó. (We were in front of the church and a MIRACLE happened.) A man who looked like he would not nothing to do with church,(Juan Ramon) came up to us and asked us if he could come in and we told him yeah! Of course!! So I sat by him during the meeting and asked him if he had been to church before and he told me yeah a couple times but that it was a long time ago and that he wasn't a member. So after the meeting we asked him we could come by and talk with him a little and he said yeah!, and we also told him that he was invited to come sing with us at the church a 5 if he wanted to, and trust me when I say this, that we thought that there was no way that a man that looked like him would want to sing, but when 5 o'clock came around and everyone came to the church, he came too! After the singing we went to his house and found out that he had gone through some hard times with work and depression. He told us that he saw the church one day and remembered that he felt good while we was there. And that was why he decided to come that day. We went on to teach about the restoration and the power of prayer, and he offered the prayer to close the lesson. He told us that he wants us to come by again! So today, we are going to introduce him to the book of mormon! 

I know that the Lord prepares people in many different ways to hear his message, and that there are always people who are prepared and waiting to hear the message of the restored gospel. I know that the Lord helps us to find those people and I know that the Light of Christ worked in Juan Ramon so that he would could come to the church, so that we could find him.

I know that Jesus Christ loves each and every one of us and that we can turn to him for anything in anytime.
