Hola!
Man! Time flies in the mission! The days are long but the weeks are short haha. It is awesome to hear the G man, my little bro, did that 50 mile hike! Hard things like that will help him prepare for the mission! I dont think I ever did a 50 mile hike that did I? No sé, no recuerdo, pero eso es maravilloso!! I loved going on those kind of camps with our quorums, there is nothing better than being in the Lords great backyard with all your buddies! Tell G man i am super proud of him and that I love him! One quote that I like is "your trials and challenges can bring you closer to Nuesto Padre Celestial or they can take you further away or they can destroy you, the choice is yours". I think it is clear that this challenge definitely brought my little bro closer to Nuestro Padre Celestial.
Okay so now I will talk about how things are going! The food is actually not that bad! Most the times it is really good!! The members usually make us lunch and they are all so nice. We have one huge meal a day around 1 (our lunch) and every time I eat so much that I want to throw up haha but I need to eat a ton cause then when it comes to night time I am starving. My dinner is usually water and some candy haha but its all good, I know that other people have it much worse than I do.
So this week we had exchanges for a day. I was with Elder Mendoza he is a super cool elder from Columbia, and Elder Duke was with Elder Rodriguez another stud from Bolivia. It was a good experience for me because I had to speak spanish all day, and I loved it! The language is frustrating at times but I learn more and more everyday, and it is amazing how quickly you learn when you have the help of the Lord on your side. He really does help you.
Okay so now to the week with our investigadores. This week was a little tougher with our investigadores. They had a hard time making it to church this week.. but that is okay because I have faith that they will come next week and Elder Duke and I are going to do all the we can to make sure that they make it to church! I really do love our investigadors. Like I said a lot of them are young kids or teenagers. Here is some info on some of them. Janaina who is a 12 year old girl, who is super smart for her age, her dad is inactive but I think he likes having the missionaries around. Soledad who is 15, Augustine who is 11, y Gabriella who is 12, they are all siblings and Elder Duke and I have taught them pretty much everything! Especially the importance of coming to church and keeping the Sabbath Day Holy. Those are just a few but I love them all! So please pray that they all come to church this sunday!
My love for this Gospel grows strong everyday! I love studying the scriptures and serving the Lord everyday!
I love being a Missionary! I love you all and I know nuestro Padre Celestial loves you even more!
Con amor,
Elder Watts
