Week 26: Remember the moment of your conversion.

HOOOOOOLLLLYYY COOWWW its hot!!!!!! I just realized that I will be having my first christmas in above 100 degree weather!!! And it's something that it really taking some getting use to! 

This week we got back from conference with Elder Walter F. González! He is the bomb and super funny. When he was talking to us he would always be switching languages, English to Spanish, Spanish to English. Haha I suppose all the general authorities have to learn english right? But the parts that were awesome were that he told us was that after we made of huge list of the problems that we are having with our investigatores, he told us that the seeing the need, using the Book of Mormom and applying the atonement with is the key to solving all the problems we had listed. He also told us to finish that the key thing that helped him in his conversion, and to stay active all his life even though his parents were not members, was the word REMEMBER. Remember the moment of your conversion.

So the funny little moment of the week goes to all the missionaries in our little house, because every night when we come home, we flip on the lights and we have a cockroach killing contest!! Haha because right when we flip on the lights they all start to scatter on the floor, entonces we stomp away. 

Haha but in other news this week was awesome because we had an increase of almost 30 more people than the week before!! And also this week he have a bautism for the nicest 50 year old man besides dad :). His name is Miguel Lopez and we met him through a member, (members help the missionaries) but he has already came to church 3 times in a row and he always smiling. The first lesson we had with him we talked about the restoration and priesthood, and he told us that he wants to be a gran sacerdote para dios. So we invited him to be baptized and he said yes! It really is a milagro de la navidad!! 

So this saturday we will have his bautism as well as a nice little christmas activity where i will be representing one of the wise men haha. Also this week maria elena came to the church for the first time! even though she just got out of the hospital, ella siguió adelante! Also this week we had the opportunity to talk with the husband of Andrea the super capa! And when we knocked the door and he came out he didn't seem too interested and he told us that his wife wasn't home, but instead of coming back another time empezamos a bajar la caña con nuestros testimonios! And the more we talked and explained how the jesucristo and his teaching can help him in his life, his face began to brighten the the sun at a hot summer day hehe but he told us we could come back and teach him, so we will see how is goes with this family!

Those are just a couple of the highlights of this week and I just want to leave you all with my testimony that I know that our savior and redeemer jesus christ is the light and the way. Only through him can we make it back to our heavenly home: 2 nefi 2:6. He is literally our strength (filipeneses 4:13) and our support we things get heavy and even though sometimes the world has its ups and downs, they is never a need to worry because he has overcome the world (juan 16:33). And with the testimony of Elder Gonzalez, I know that our testimony is the key to our conversion. and that if we as members or menos activos, are always able to remember the moment or moments when we found out for ourselves that the Church of Jesus Christ is true, then we will always be anchored down.
