This week was fantastico! It was a little less excited than last week, as in no one went to the hospital! And we haven't had any crazy storms! But it is starting to get hotter so I am trying to prepare myself mentally and physically to bear the south american heat, because from what I have heard, it is the worst in bella union! All the members have been telling me that I am going to die, but I say bring it on! Today Elder Duke bought risk for all of us to play, it reminded of the good times that the bros would play it on dad's ipad when would travel..and when g man would always win!
So this week was fast Sunday! And we all as missionaries gave our testimonies! I thought it would be a good a idea to get used to talking in front of people because the bishop keeps asking me if I can to give a talk and I tell him that I need a little more practice, but this week or the next I will probably have to give a talk so wish me luck! It was great because we had almost 60 people come to the church this week, every week it grows!
This week we are going to have two baptisms tambien! Sofia la hija de rosa is going to get baptized this week with Ana! La hija de una mas o menos active family. Ana is 9 and Sofia is 12. We have been teaching Sofia for almost a a month and a half so I am so happy that she has going to get baptized, she said that I can baptize her so I will send you pictures next week!
This week when we were teaching Agustine (12) he told that us that he received an answer to his prayer, so we asked him how. So he went on to tell us that he prayed for help in school, and the next morning he felt good when he woke up, and that when he went to school that the teacher had raised his grad. We told him that the Lord answers prayers in many different ways, and that he helps us when he need it. So we have been talking to about baptism and have been reading 2 nefi 31 with him as well as with his sisters Gabi and Soledad so that they understand a little better the importance of baptism. This week also we are going to begin talking with the brother of member, Christian, he doesn't really believe anything, but today we are going to teach him for the first time!
To finish i just want to leave a scripture that I found this morning!
Por lo cual, por causo de Cristo me gozo en las debilidades en afrentas, en necesidades, en persecucions, en angustias, porque cuando soy débil, entonces soy fuerte. (2. Cor 12:10 para que pueda entender la escritura.)
There is nothing more I want to do than serve my Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ. I love being a missionary and I love finding and inviting my brothers and sisters to come unto him. When I feel weak, I feel even closer to my Heavenly Father. I know that he helps me everyday to be better and to improve.
Sé que con todo mi corazon que este iglesia es verdadera y que jesucristo vive. (I know with all my heart that this church is true and that Jesus Christ lives.)
