Week 10: The team that cannot fail.

HOLA! OTRA VEZ! (Hello again!)

I had another great week in the field!! The start of the week was ful l of traveling!! Like I said in the last email we had zone conference in Salto on Wednesday!! It was was awesome! Besides the fact that we had to get up at 4:45 am in order to make it to the bus stop at 6!! But we made it on time! I was excited to see all the other missionaries in our zone and specifically to see my old buddies in my district in the CCM! I was able to see my good old buddies Elder Goold and Elder Wakley and my old companion Elder Averett! They are all doing awesome and the special thing about this zone conference was the the oros (newbies) had to give there testimonies, that meant me! And tambien the fieles (missionaries finishing) had to give their testimonies. That meant Elder Duke! It was the last zone conference for Elder Duke and the first one for me - haha kinda funny. Pero todos dimos testimonios poderosos, y compartimos nuestro amor por el Evangelio con unos a otros. (But we all gave powerful testimonies, and shared our love for the gospel with each other.)

During our zone conference we also learned a lot about how to help our investigadors receive answers to the prayers and to focus lesson one, the restauracion, more on prayer. Because it is so important that people know how to receive answers to there prayers and that they know the importance of prayer! We also set goals as a mission which I will tell you at the end of this email, but to end the conference President Smith gave his testimony and I know that he is suppose to my mission president! I love him with all my heart! He is the best guy ever!

Okay so now to this week with our investigadors! One of the investigadors of Elder Rod. and Elder Mend. was baptized this saturday! It was a great day for Dandara. She is a little 9 year old girl and she is the cutest. Also for the baptism we all made a the best chocolate cake you can imagine! It was a three layer chocolate cake with dulce in between each layer - dulce is like a creamy caramel, it is delicious! And everyone loved it! Especially Rosa and all her kids! It was a great oportunidad for them to see how we are baptized. While Rosa was at the baptism she said she wanted to get baptized!! So we are working really hard with her to reach that step!! We also have been working really hard with menos activos families and getting back to church! Because there are so many members who forget that there is church on sunday but we are changing that one member at a time.

Okay so now to the goals of the zone conference! 1st. we set the goal of cien (100) baptisms per month. 2nd, double the attendance of the church. And 3rd, 100 percent retention of menos activos! I know we can complete all those goals! I know we can because we are team and we all know who the leader of our team is...Nuestro Padre Celestial y Jesus Cristo! I know that when we remember to put faith in our Father in Heaven and His Son Jesus Christ that it is impossible to fail.

I love you all! I know that we are all on the same team, the team of Our Father in Heaven, the team that cannot fail.

Con mucho amor,
Elder Watts
